Draft 2 CEE Commercial Ice Machines Specification Industry Comment Opportunity

Abstract

The CEESM Commercial Kitchens Initiative aims to define highly efficient cooking, refrigeration, and sanitation equipment across the United States and Canadian markets based on voluntary equipment performance specifications determined by CEE member consensus and industry input. CEE is seeking feedback from commercial kitchens industry partners on proposed revisions to the CEESM Commercial Kitchens Initiative related to the CEE specifications and initiative strategies for automatic commercial ice makers (ACIM).

The attached letter provides the Commercial Kitchens Committee’s responses to the comments submitted on draft 1 and the updated draft 2 of the Commercial Ice Machines Specification. CEE appreciates ACIM industry partners consideration and comments on the CEE Commercial Kitchens Initiative and Commercial Ice Machine Specification revision, and respectfully requests comments on the proposal by July 31, 2020.* The Committee anticipates recommending the attached draft specification to the CEE Board of Directors in October 2020 with a recommended effective date of January 1, 2021.
