The CEE Strategic Energy Management Program Summary collects information about the design, delivery, and results of strategic energy management (SEM) programs that are supported by energy efficiency program administrators across the US and Canada and which help customers address the CEE SEM Minimum Elements. The purpose of this document is to demonstrate commercial and industrial SEM program approaches and outcomes to energy efficiency program administrators, third-party SEM program implementers, and other SEM market actors and to inform program regulation, evaluation, and design. This summary aggregates the impact of program administrator support to achieve effective practice of SEM that meets energy efficiency program needs as well as the strategic energy management needs of customers. All of the programs described in this Program Summary are voluntary, ratepayer funded programs offered to commercial and industrial businesses.
