Abstract

In support of the CEE Commercial Lighting Systems Initiative (‘CEE Initiative’), the CEE Overview of Commercial Lighting Programs in the United States and Canada characterizes CEE member voluntary efficiency program offerings aimed at reducing energy consumption in commercial lighting systems in 2019. These programs addressed a wide variety of individual measures as well as measures aimed at improving system efficiency and performance. This resource provides an analysis of data collected in the CEE 2019 Summary of Commercial Lighting Programs in the United States and Canada, identifying CEE Member participation in the CEE Initiative, and highlighting data that adds visibility to member program content, direction, and trends to help inform future CEE Initiative direction.

The CEE Program Overview includes 72 CEE Members, with a variety of fuel types, including electric only (46.5%) and combined or fuel-neutral (45%), that offer some type of commercial lighting measure(s), representing 34 US states (including the District of Columbia) and 4 Canadian provinces. Collectively, these members serve approximately 6,805,471 commercial electric customers and 1,796,782 commercial gas customers.

Information on the 72 CEE member programs represented in this document was collected primarily through publicly available information on CEE member websites during 2019, though some supplemental information was collected from CEE members directly. Check with individual CEE member programs for details.
