Abstract

In support of the CEE High Efficiency Commercial Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps Initiative ("CEE Initiative"), the 2017 CEE Commercial Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps Program ("Program Summary") and Overview of Commercial Air Conditioning and Hat Pumps Programs in 2017 ("Program Overview") characterize currently active voluntary efficiency programs aimed at reducing energy consumption from commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems. These programs can address a wide variety of individual measures as well as measures aimed at improving system efficiency and performance. The focus of this document is prescriptive incentives for air conditioning and heat pump equipment, system accessories, and maintenance. Highlighting data that adds visibility to member program content, direction and trends can help inform future CEE Initiative direction.

The Program Overview provides CEE staff analysis of data collected in the Program Summary, identifying CEE member program administrators participating in the CEE Initiative, and highlighting member program content, direction, and trends that can help inform future CEE Initiative direction. The Program Summary is an Excel database that includes information on CEE member program administrators' commercial air conditioning and heat pump incentive offerings, and may not be inclusive of all CEE member incentive offerings for commercial air conditioning and heat pump equipment and system components. The program offerings described here are prescriptive except where noted otherwise. Many CEE members offer custom path programs through which additional incentives may be available for these and other types of commercial HVAC equipment. Check with individual CEE member programs for details.
